31st ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Join us in Sydney for ASBTE 2027!

ASBTE is making plans for the 31st Annual Conference of the Australasian Society for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering to be held on 31st March - 2 April 2027 in Sydney, Australia.

The annual event provides an opportunity for biomaterials, tissue engineering & regenerative medicine scientists and engineers to come together and discuss recent findings in research on all aspects of biomaterials and tissue engineering, including surface modification, biointerfaces, biopolymers, implants, drug delivery, nanomedicine, cell therapies and clinical translation.

During the three days, attendees will also have an opportunity to network and develop collaborations with colleagues from around the world.

We very much look forward to a vibrant in-person conference and would value your support to power this a great event.

ABOUT ASBTE

The Australasian Society for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering (ASBTE) was formed in 1989. It provides a national platform for professionals who have interests in research, education, development and regulation of biomaterials, tissue engineering and medical devices.

Internationally, the Society is a member of the group of Biomaterials Societies who coordinate international activities, including the World Biomaterials Congress. The Society has continued to thrive during the pandemic, retaining high membership numbers and maintaining member engagement through a series of highly attended virtual/hybrid events.

The annual conference is the ASBTE’s flagship event attracting national and international leaders from academia and industry. The ASBTE is excited to bring together ANZ’s vibrant research and industry ecosystem together in Sydney in 2027.  The program for ASBTE 2027 conference includes sessions on biofabrication, drug delivery, tissue engineering, bioengineered tissue models, biointerfaces, mechanobiology, nanotechnology, stem cells, clinical and commercial translation, and will be attended by the leading Australian and New Zealand research groups, global leaders in the biomaterials field, and industry.

The Conference expects to attract 200- 250 delegates including international plenary and keynote speakers.
